In the prestigious “cru” of Ornati at Monforte d’Alba, is Tenuta Rocca, in full and continuous evolution. To the growing production along the past ten years, important investments were made both in the vineyards and in the cellar. To be able to offer a range of demanding wines, punctual and reliable, the consultancy of Agronomist Gian Piero Romana and of Oenologist Piero Ballario is employed. Their Tenuta Rocca Barolo, which we prefer, has an intense and intriguing nose with a hint of balsamic, anise and spice. The taste shows structure and tannins that are already quite approachable, with pleasant harmony with the nose sensations. Vigna San Pietro Barolo aroma reminds you of spicy essence. The taste is rounded and tannins are still muscular.

Praiseworthy team performance for this winery of Monforte d’Alba, whose wines, showing a modern approach in style, have lots of character. Proof is a Barolo Vigna San Pietro of great energy and very balanced taste, but also their good Tenuta Rocca version of Barolo, as well as the Barbera Vigna Roca Neira, the Dolcetto Vigna Sorì Rocca and the Langhe Red Ornati.
