The Langhe Rosso DOC Ornati is made with grapes coming from the Barbera vineyard shown on map page no. 17, 315 P, 432 P, 213 P, 217 P, 216 P, in the cru “Vigna Ròca Neira”. South/south-east exposure; Nebbiolo vineyards, shown on map page no. 17, 216 P, in the cru “Ornati”, south/south west exposure; Cabernet Sauvignon vineyards, on map page no.17, 216 P, 315 P, 213 P, in the cru “Ornati”. Southwest exposure.
Vinification: The Ornati wine comes from the assemblage, in varying percentages, of Barbera, Nebbiolo and Cabernet Sauvignon. The wines age separately in barriques from the Allier region of France before assemblage and bottling.
Visual aspects: Brilliant, intense garnet-red with ruby highlights.
Olfactory aspects: Intense and persistent, ethereal, with fruit sensations (cherry), discreet and delicate notes from the wood (earthy sensations) along with notes reminiscent of vanilla, tobacco.
Taste aspects: Dry, full, warm, soft, of notable structure, suitably tannic, balanced. Complex finish reminiscent of the bouquet, persistent, giving way to milk chocolate.
Service temperature: 61/65° F - 16/18° C.
Aging/Method of storage: At least 10/12 years if stored correctly, far from light in a dry and constant temperature, in the same horizontal position as when it arrives in its case until the moment of consumption.
