December 20, 2006: TASTED Winter 2006/2007 Edition. Our 2003 Barbera d'Alba Vigna Roca Neira obtains the Best Score - among approx 85 wines evaluated - with 85.1 points in the "Taste of the World" section. The outstanding score comes from the average of the scores assigned by 6 among the Best Sommeliers of the world, from 6 different Countries, in a blind tasting.
In the same contest, our 2003 Langhe ORNATI obtains an excellent 6th position with 84.5 points.

November 30, 2006: Falstaff Magazine Nr. 6/2006. Barolo 2002 tasting: 89/90 points and the following comment by Mr. Othmar Kiem: Funkelndes, sattes Granat; praesentiert sich mit sehr offener Nase, etwas Himbeere leicht metallische Noten; am Gaumen betont saizige Noten, sehr satt, ontfaitet sich mit dichtem Tanin, langer Nachhail, klar und geradling, im Finale guter Druck. July 20, 2006: The Internationa Wine & Spirit Competition (IWSC)of London awards Tenuta Rocca with the following two medals:
SILVER Best in Class to our 2003 DOC Vigna Roca Neira Barbera d'Alba, described as follows: Deep purple, bright rim. Some earthy notes on the introduction but these give away to ripe plums, cherries and sweet spice. Well rounded, full fruited mouth with some toasty oak and hint of herbs. SUpple tannins in lively finish. Lots of potential to develop over a number of years.

Luca Maroni informs us that he has selected our 2002 vintage Tenuta Rocca Barolo for his prestigious "Yearbook".

June 16, 2006: Cosimo Torlo for the LA STAMPA newspaper includes our 2002 Tenuta Rocca Barolo among the best he tasted during the Alba Wines Exhibition. The Barolos of his choice are appreciable because they are enjoyable, pleasant to drink and are also offered at the right price.

February 1, 2006: Le Degustateur.com: Federico Bonfiglio publishes his article about the Barbera Meeting tasting held in Alba in June 2005 and comments about our 2003 Barbera Vigna Roca Neira among the wines he loved, as follows: Ripe, deep, spicy, nicely woody. Soft and velvety, quite full in your mouth, with a nicely made texture, fine tannins, reminding you of black fruits, spices, leather and licorice, with a good persistance.
